Yazbukey is an up and coming accessories and
clothes label based in Paris run by sisters Yaz and Emel Kurhan whose
mission is to make their customers look great.
The label was conceived by Yaz, who having
worked for some of fashions biggest names including martin Margiela,
Givenchy and Jeremy Scott started her own collection of accessories.
When her younger sister Emel finished her
studies at the world renowned fashion school Studio Berceau she joined Yaz
and the sisters have since expanded to include clothes in their
collections.

Each Yazbukey piece is handmade, and a real
work of art. The sisters’ work is loved by celebrities famous for making
an impact with their wardrobes, including Bjork.
Making complete outfits top to tail.
Accessories as far as the sisters are concerned are always the most
important element to an overall look.
Like here. An unusual leather earring
statement piece worn with a simple white fishnet pullover and striking
satin skirt finished off with a penguin bag-necklace and these truly
original green and black shoes.

Although the sisters are originally from
Turkey they now see themselves firmly rooted in Paris.
Yazbukey like to mix traditional materials
like leather, satin and jersey with more unconventional materials to
create their signature pieces.
Influenced
by modern culture, TV, music and movies, if Yaz and Imeld design for
anyone it would be their
biggest inspiration, cult director Tim Burton.
