Patrick
Norguet is a Paris based product and furniture designer who is fast making
a name for himself and gaining the attention of some of the Worlds biggest
design houses.
Patrick’s
lucky break came when a chair he had designed was picked up by World
famous Italian furniture company Capellini.
Norguet is in many ways an offspring of the alliance between fashion and
design. He has designed windows for Louis Vuitton, Givenchy and Christian
Dior, and a boutique for French fashion designer Martine Sitbon.
|
He
is also responsible for designing this amazing chair in a collaboration
with Italian
fashion
label Pucci which was a real hit with buyers.
Traditionally
famous for a center of clothes design, Patrick finds being based in Paris
a huge inspiration for his work.
Combining
traditional materials like wood with more contemporary modern materials
such as plastics and metals Patrick
creates his unique pieces which look great in almost any
surrounding.
|
But
his designs look especially good in the contemporary environment of
Patrick’s home, the design of which
he is also responsible for.
Designed
for the influential Dutch company Artifort
Patrick has created an instant classic
with
the Apollo chair.
As
well as furniture Patrick has also designed smaller ornamental pieces
crafted from ceramics and silver, lighting, and is currently in the
process of designing containers for Jean Paul Gaultier’s cosmetic line.
