Marseilles
– France’s cool capital of the South once had a reputation for being
mad, bad and dangerous to know….but now the true colours of this
beautiful port are shining through.
Fashion
and design is leading the way in all aspects – from architecture to
fashion houses – Marseilles has something to offer the discerning
shopper and creative mind.

Madame
Zaza de Marseilles is a well established fashion label that has been
around since 1980. It’s designer, Marisa Adrien and business partner and
husband Phillipe decided to open a boutique in her home town of Marseilles
and is situated in the bustling shopping st Cours Julien..
The
trendy, high-texture clothes and jewelry made by Madame Zaza of Marseille
would suit any woman of any age and of any size.
Marisa
and Phillipe feel strongly about the philosophy of that label.

The
warm colours of the fabrics and the ethnic style of the designs reflect
the Meditaranean influences
that Marisa has on her doorstep.

She
doesn’t have to go far to find the rich colours that inspire her to
design. Marisa and Philippe feel that fabric and mixing materials is an
extremely important part of designing.
Natural
materials such as linen will be mixed with a modern fabric such as lycra.
This
helps with the idea that a modern woman wants to feel and look natural
but have the flexibility of movement in the more modern materials.

The
cotton and linen working well to create a cool and sophisticated ensemble.
The
label is stocked in Marseilles and Paris but is also making headlines in
retail outlets in Japan, Germany and the Middle East.

Madame
Zaza de Marseilles is one true gem of a label that you would be crazy not
to hunt down when visiting this part of the world.
