Known for being the city of sails, although not the capital of New Zealand Auckland certainly provides much of the hustle and bustle of the country.

With 48 volcanic cones and two ancient rainforested mountain ranges it is certainly not run of the mill city.

With bays, beaches and islands its nickname 'the city of sails' is very apt. Auckland lies between the Waitemata and Manukau harbours, for those who love water it is a pradise, with some of the best beaches, swimming, diving, fishing, sailing, windsurfing and watersports in the country.

Shop until you drop in Auckland. It is well known for the flair and creativity of individuals that you might find that something a little bit different there when you explore.

Parnell just east of city centre, is a fashionable area of renovated wooden villas full up with restaurants and boutiques. To the west are the hip and happening café district Ponsonby and Herne.

You can purchase mainstream items at the Downtown shopping center – but keep going to Queen Street where you can discover the main business and shopping precinct into the central city.

wait and see!
