Internationally
acclaimed designer John Rocha has been in the fashion industry for over
20 years. Rocha has achieved success and respect from celebrity clients
such as Angelica Huston, Marianne Faithful and pop singer Ronan Keating.

Distinctive
for his innovative use of textiles, Rocha’s designs are based on
simple lines and exquisite materials such as cashmere wool and taffeta
silks. His clothes have been described as ‘gently and immaculately
tailored’. His love of traditional techniques is evident in his
signature hand knitted embellished garments and embroidered pieces such
as this long sleeved, Irish lace and cable knit sweater.

Using
the two main influences in his life, China and his beloved Ireland,
Rocha cleverly combines oriental thinking with Irish craft. Travelling
for four months of the year, means that Rocha can take in inspiration
from around the world –- from Alaska to Tokyo, it is important for him
to have a global vision of style.
The
Rocha look is plain, simple and fluid.
The result is funky but wearable.

His
mainline outfits are stocked in exclusive boutiques and department
stores throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe, Asia and the USA.
Rocha
is very much a hands on designer.
His sketches reveal a fluidity that is typical in his designs.

John
Rocha is now head of a burgeoning design empire.
His fashion house consists of a women’s, men’s and jeanswear
business that is stocked in more than 130 stores worldwide.
John
Rocha’s signature colours are cream & black – black being a
personal favourite of his – a colour that he thinks a woman’s
wardrobe should never be without.
