Anke Loh is one of the latest and most innovative designers to come out of Belgium's funky city of Antwerp.

Her label is associated with a look that’s modern and inventive, inspired by the world of experimental arts and designs.

Anke’s trademark is to reinvent ordinary clothes, even clothes found at second hand markets and thrift shops, and give them a whole new lease of life.

A damson striped summer dress is the stunning result of one such experiment - made entirely from a pair of trousers and re-fashioned to create this eye-catching backless number.

A swimsuit was the inspiration for this sexy Lycra sun top. The original shape has been adapted, moved around the body to create a new form.
Anke Loh’s whole approach is unconventional, adorning the body in new and exciting ways.

There are more pleats - a skirt turned upside down and trousers with asymmetrical legs.

Much of the Anke Loh collection is gritty and urban in it’s look, with her use of artisanal fabrics and muted colours.

They may be experimental but they are always provocative, just about covering the parts that matter.

This inventiveness in Anke Loh come from inspiration from designers like Commes des Garcons and also from her method of work which involves putting down the pen and sketch pad and simply experimenting with fabrics on the mannequin.
